This love story starts with a right swipe. Manisha knew that she had something special in front of her when Rahul’s profile popped up with pictures from when his hair was blonde. She didn’t waste a moment and shot her shot.

How We Met

After Rahul used every move he knew, Manisha decided that she would never see him again after their first date. Not taking the hint, Rahul kept messaging Manisha and they met up many times since until they made their relationship official. Manisha was on her way to Egypt when Rahul asked her to go steady with him while she was on a plane. He had to make sure that Manisha wouldnt be accidentally married off in Egypt. Ask them about how Manisha hit a man on a bike on their second date.

Adventures 

Manisha and Rahul did it the old fashioned way. They let their intentions be known to their parents which quickly escalated to finalizing the wedding date. There was nothing left to do but propose. In the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, Rahul proposed during their engagement shoot to the unsuspecting Manisha. She had to say YES... the wedding deposits were paid!Rahul set the perfect trap :)

Please Join us on Friday morning at 10 am for a traditional South Indian Kerala wedding. Followed by photography and lunch! In a Kerala wedding, the bride and groom are wedded together at an auspicious time. The happy couple's auspicious time is between 10:30 am and 11:30 am. This time is known as Muhurtham.

Dress Code

Please wear Indian attire if you can for the wedding ceremony otherwise you can wear Western formal attire.Examples of Indian wear are provided below: Saree - require draping and a saree blouse so for those of you who aren't familiar with this we would advise against Lenghas (blouse, skirt and shawl), Salwaar kameez (kind of like a long shirt and pants with a shawl) Anarkali (long dress with leggings and shawl), Sharara (long shirt with poofy pants and a shawl) are easier to wear. For men, kurta ( long shirts) with pants - sometimes with a shawl are welcome. Please see examples below! Please feel free to wear what makes you comfortable. You don't need to buy something special just for one event! For the reception, please wear formal attire - Indian or Western - anything that is comfortable to eat and drink and dance with! Rahul will be wearing navy blue and Manisha will be wearing a muted raspberry red with gold!

We recommend flying into the Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and staying at a hotel near the airport as it's about 15-20 mins from both venues or staying at the Hampton Inn which is on the same block as the reception venue. If staying at the hotels near the airport, you can take the UP Express train directly to Union Station and explore downtown Toronto

We'd recommend flying into the Toronto Pearson International Airport as it's within 15 minutes of the ceremony and reception venues.
